The Little Things

I'm a big believer in appreciating the little things. Those little moments in every day life when you realize that things are good.

Seeing my niece run around her abuelito's bedroom last night in an effort to entertain, but more importantly, evade going to sleep was one of those moments. Instead of saying good night, she decided that she wanted to run around from one end to another and back, over and over with an endless amount of energy. Furiously moving her little arms and legs in hopes of going faster. Her hair and cheeks bouncing in time with each new step. Laughing and smiling at everyone in attendance and speaking that baby talk where they string together various sounds that together seemed like she was having a very juicy conversation.

It was a very good way to say good night.
